Altoona, WI | About 90% of the stove top cooking we do is on one burner only, gas stove. They make those nifty silicone mats you can lay in around the burners, heat resistant, and you can toss them in the dishwasher to clean them. Supposed to make stove cleaning easier. I have found the same material on Amazon in rolls/sheets. Would there be any issue with my cutting square pads of this stuff and laying them right on the unused burner grates while we are using one to cook? The thought being, catch the grease splatters and bits of food before it even hits the other grates. The problem I see with the current solution is that your other grates and burners still get dirty. I have spent some time looking for a commercial solution and have found nothing, and it makes me wonder why.
