| How do you know pH of 5.2 will take several tons of lime if you don't know the buffer pH or CEC? For example if it has a lower CEC it may not take more than 2-3 tons of good lime to raise the pH to 6.5-6.8, and I wouldn't be afraid of spreading 2-3 tons in one pass (we do that all the time with variable rate spreading). Forget the pelletized lime, it doesn't work significantly faster than bulk lime and its too much money. | |
