Ph is a logarithmic scale, how can 100 pounds of pel lime equal .1 ph point? Maybe 6.9-7, but 5.9-6 is 10 times as much acid to neutralize.
I agree with the ground lime crowd, you'll get as much out of a ton of ground lime right away as you will out of 400 pounds of pelleted lime, and the rest will still be working for you as long as it takes to neutralize.
