According to the internet no-till is about 35% of row crop farming now, but I can only find articles about increasing ag pollution in the US. Yes there are articles about how no-till helps reduce local pollution but nothing on about how the total ag pollution has decreased much. I read lots of articles from the Des Moines water works about ag pollution. The last one was about their failure to reduce nitrate level in the Raccoon River several years back by working with farmers to use reduced tillage and other conservation practices.
Also when asked about their nitrate removal practices. They admitted they just dump the nitrates back into the river so the next town can deal with it.
