I like to put performance ahead of price. On new hybrids, I like to talk with neighbors and friends and then decide to try.
I understand, I have been checking all the yield trials that are posted, and most are within + or - 3-5 bu on almost everything. And I also know that everything can be manipulated to show what they want, so most of this boils down to price. With commodities being a strong as they are currently its not as hard to spend a little more on seed, but I have to remember that everything else will cost me more this year also. They all have their hands out now!
