The local fertilizer dealer talked me into applying 100#/A right after planting.  I had them do it in alternating strips but skipping every other pass.  At harvest I could easily see where it was spread as most of the beans were leaning over pretty well where it was applied and still standing pretty well every strip they skipped.  Near as I can tell, it gave me a 3-4 bu an acre yield boost over the skipped strips but I never did it again as I didn't like having to run so much slower on the strips that had the AMS.  It really did slow me down.  Maybe some of the newer grain tables might feed it in better but mine didn't.  CaseIH 1020 grain head.



3-4bu you can hire someone to run them too.
