Mike, if its the article that I read it didnt really equate to a whole lot and was just a statement. Didnt give any details on how they tested and came to that conclusion.

To the OP. It would have been interesting to see the AVG KERNAL WEIGHT of the two. Also, if you picked at a higher moisture and were using stirators etc to dry you could have a whole lot more mechanical damage.


 Yes most likely the same article, but they might have got that from a reliable source, who knows? 
  Now your reply to the OP is spot on about the kernel weight, that could answer a few questions.
