I just read a article from the U of Minnesota extension that one of the advantages of natural air drying over high temperature drying is higher test weight.
Mike, if its the article that I read it didnt really equate to a whole lot and was just a statement. Didnt give any details on how they tested and came to that conclusion.
To the OP. It would have been interesting to see the AVG KERNAL WEIGHT of the two. Also, if you picked at a higher moisture and were using stirators etc to dry you could have a whole lot more mechanical damage.
