I'm in a situation where I purchased a new farm with existing tile. Spoke with a gentlemen who helped with taxes @ FBFM. He said rule of thumb was you can depreciate tile at 5-10% of farm purchase price. Anything over 10% was considered risky. I ended up claiming 7.5%.
