Solid state memory isn't any more reliable or long-lived than magnetic media. I trust portable hard drives for my backup data, and I use two of them.
It's usually an older one and a newer, larger capacity one. I back up to both of them until the smaller one is full, then I buy a larger one and so on.
I've been doing that for as many years as portable hard drives have been available.
