Subject: RE: Need Help! Radar on C3000 Monitor for White 8824 Planter

Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn.

This C3000 monitor and White 8824 planter are new to me. The tractor I'm going to plant with does not have radar. Should I put radar on the planter or would it be better to use one of those sensor/GPS devices? The man I bought the planter from said you need radar for the AGCO row clutches.

I will be steering the tractor with a Trimble 750. I am a "low tech red neck" but I think I will have to tie the 750 into the C3000 monitor.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Use the Trimble to get speed to the C3000 planter module. This takes a cable which plugs into the back of the 750 and connects to the small round connector for speed on the C3000. Some one must go into the menu system on the 750 and change the output so that the emulated radar speed is sent out. A Hz value needs to be selected. I would suggest 57 Hz as a starting point. If the speed on the planter monitor doesn't agree with the 750 this value can be changed in the 750 OR the speed cal number in the C3000 can be changed until they are in good agreement.
