Montana | About a year plus ago I was getting out of a pickup to close a gate in a rush. I changed direction and for some reason my boot really stuck in the snow, and didn't pivot. And I heard a loud pop out of my knee. It was some what painful, swelled and black and blue. I was very nervous about a tore meniscus.
I went to an urgent care. Granted I could hardly walk normal. But I went in and the pain wasn't really that bad. I got an older lady doctor. She felt my knee and basically said ya know these men always overthink this stuff. You managed to walk in here parked a block away. Knee feels fine. And sent me on my way. Well anyways things got busy and I had a lot of work to do. Bars and restaurants after work and lots things to think about. The pain went away and I forgot about it.
So now with covid I haven't had a lot to do but work and sit around at home at nights. And this is where I've had time to notice this left knee actually aches. And pops a lot.
My question is is. Is it too late for me to go to a specialist? Is it worth it? Did I screw up by waiting too long to do something? I see some sites say a torn meniscus can heal itself but it's not ideal. | |
