Subject: RE: planter weight bars

East Central, Nebraska
there will be nothing least expensive about the deal as the wiring, modules and weigh pins are not all that inexpensive. i also monitor 4 rows on my planter and the biggest thing that would concern me here is that your not doing anything else with the planter. it could get really pricy needing an implement harness and whatever else. i guess someone else would have to answer if you can just monitor down pressure without doing anything else with the planter. you may at the very least need to monitor population which will get real expensive as you will need new seed sensors, wiring harness, and a seed tube module. thats if your cih is using the smart sensors. then it will get really really expensive trying to explain to your cih planter why its not getting the data it needs.

hopefully someone else can chime in to see if a configuration can be setup to only do downforce monitoring. report back what you find as now im curious. good luck.
