I'm not big into conspiracys but I also think that a lot of conspiracys have a lot of truth to them before they can become believable. Some of the stretch marks that conspiracys leave I think can be chalked up to stupidity and incompetence rather than purposeful bad actions.
Just like I think people do not give enough credit for success to dumb luck, I think a lot of the things that look like purposeful deciet can be chalked up to stupid people.
