I understand his question to mean that he is no longer going to run starter in furrow. Our totally tubular is used for 2x0x2 and never comes in contact with anything so assumed that is what he is looking at as well. I took it as asking if he still needed to run a seed firmer if not doing in furrow, and if so, which. If that is what he meant, then my response should be disregarded.
