Eastern Washington State | Thanks for your feedback. Crop dividers is something I've been experimenting with for the past several years, but I'm yet to find something I'm really happy with. Here is what I have had the most success with so far.
From what you described, what I have now is pretty similar. They do a really good job of keep stuff from getting hung up on them, but they do shell out a lot of canola. I farm in the desert and our harvest conditions are really dry, which I think only worsens our shelling problem.
A neighbor of mine cuts canola with a JD flex head. His has crop dividers like these:
He says they work really well and he has pictures showing almost no shelling out on the edges. This is what I would like to accomplish. I'm hoping the NH adjustable crop dividers will work in a similar fashion. |
