With so many business's going under and the future looking extremely shaky I wonder what a lifetime warranty is worth.  Who do you buy from and if it's a clearance or closeout item is there really any warranty?

With the discussion regarding the impossibility of getting a new truck or car and the same with other things such as computer parts how many of these companies are hiding their true health?

There's no Hudsons, Studebakers, David Brown, and hundreds of others.  And if I remember correctly when GM was "saved" the new GM no longer honored warranties.  (maybe I am wrong about that, but it's what I remember)
