Frytown, Iowa | I mean I’m not looking to do anything drastic but I feed roughly 1000 bu a week and our unit broke with prrs so looking at possibly 4 week set back. Well there’s 4000 bu not needed... then there’s seasonals that come into play and say your looking at this corn market peaking in early June or July that gives you 4 months of a downtrending market into new crop. You know the big players are licking their chops for a short somewhere within a dollar over this market. I’m just thinking maybe letting go of 15,000 bu sometime if cash bids get above $5.50 or so. I’d still have enough corn to make it to July and ride the coaster down into harvest hand to mouth... what’s the risk above $5.50? Not sure.
Still in the “thinking” mode. Haven’t made my mind up or anything
