You should be planting 5-6 numbers per year. 2-3 of bulk and 3 new ones in limited numbers to test and help find the next good one for your soil.

Also you need to ditch the racehorse workhorse mentality.

Find the one that keeps its composure in the rough acres and also flat pours the coals to it in the good dirt. That’s the number that will make you money.

I don’t want a number that might yield 10 better in the crap if it gives up 30 in the good. And I don’t want a number that gives me 20 more in the good but 40 less in the crap.
