Over the years some people have said they'll never get the flu shot or never get it again.  They claim that they got the flu right after getting the shot or that somebody they knew got the flu right after getting the shot.

The major problem I've noticed is that there's a misconception as to the nature of the flu shot.  It's not what many people call the flu which consists of diarrhea and emesis,  The flu you're getting a shot for Is a respiratory disease.  I suspect that in some cases the "flu" they suffered was food poisoning or bottle poisoning.

No doubt there will be some of the same from immunizations this time for this disease.  And perhaps even falling on the ice will be blamed for the shot.
