volume times density is the easy part. figuring how much pressure your side walls can take and how high you want to pile it is the hard part. Then figuring the angle of repose and the volume of a cone that will be both ends is a little tricky, but doable. If you load with an auger to a peak, you'll have a triangle down the middle, i wouldn't even think of trying to calculate overlapping cones if you move the auger farther with each move.
