So you have never made a sale using logic (fear )that the market was going to be worse? I am happy for those who have an unlimited supply of money that allows them to make decisions they never regret. Most of them are likely very smart people who make great decisions however there are those who working with money(land) earned by one or two generations ahead of them or better yet some married for love and got a pot of gold to go with it. Bills have to be paid. Forward selling is good when prices call for it but a good operator wouldn't sell 100 percent of expected production. Bin and hold even if you don't need the money you need room for new crop unless you just keep building bins( again happy for you). Also 120 days ago most professional markets were saying sell before it goes lower. Just thought the comment about the op possibly being a older poor marketer was probably post by a young spoiled poster. My mistake if you are sixty something 60 something and lost a crop or two to a drought before crop insurance was subsidies enough to be affordable if that is the case your not just ignorant(unexperienced) you are just being a Richard.
