southern MN | The topic is so big, small questions looking for partial answers, that’s all my head can take! Ha.
Forests and my fields can recycle and regrow if we aren’t removing anything.
The forests that are clear cut harvested like my fields I understand they do fertilize the replanting?
Nitrogen is such a fun one.
It likes to slip away on us so we need to add more and more and or try to hold it against its will or control it some.
It’s all around us depending what form it’s in. it’s a major portion of every breath we take, often called inert, but then we worry about it as a pollutant and it’s not good to have much in the water.
Some plants can manufacture it out of thin air.Corners want to slurp up every bit they can find.
Rich deep soils can make it by breaking themselves down, but those are the very soils that have reasons to not easily break themselves down. So do you get lots or little, depends on the year, guess the future.
And on.
