One thing to look at is the way it was tested. Was it Wet Chem or NIR and were both samples tested the same way? You will see differences between NIR machines.

There are different formulas for calculating TDN as well.
I would suggest using both ADF and NDF - - - forget the TDN - - - - its not as useful! (ADF and NDF levels tell you more about your feed!)
A second point - - - - testing 6 to 8 bales - - - - not enough.
If you have 100 or more bales in a group you should be probing at least 20 imo - - - better 25.
(Then you mix your probed stuff in a 5 gal bucket and then pull your sample.)
