I raised five steers from wean to finish it took 203.1 bushels per corn per head and 3900 lbs of protein pellet and they were on free choice pasture the whole time never seen a barn or concrete ever. Im sure it's way inefficient to do it this way but i don't care it works for me, i heard once you could feed one out on 150 bushels or something like that, i only feed a few a year and sell freezer beef to freinds and family they all rave about it and i still make a little money this way believe it or not i sell 2.50 a pound hanging weight.
