| I find some of what the press release said interesting. Blamed it mostly on "2020 challenges", translation, Covid. Why then did similar type stores (family farm and home, rural king, TSC, etc), home stores (menards, lowes, home depot) and hardware stores have banner years? I talked to some managers of these type stores, they all said it was crazy busy. I think the symptoms of failure were present before covid hit, i,e lack of inventory/selection. The statement "we believe the customer should get some wins" is really odd too...IMHO
Ideally it would just snap back to good ol BigR....but that probably won't happen. | |
