It happens. Friend of mine had a colonoscopy on n October, doc perforated his. After surgery and 3 days in hospital he came home and said was pretty miserable for a couple weeks.

I had one in March 2015, woke me up, hurt like hull !!! I asked a bunch of questions about what had happened and got stonewalled. They did tell me everything looked pink and good with a few polyps. August 2015, can’t take a dump, horrible pain, finally go to ER. Bowel is backed up into stomach, they start pumping my stomach, 2 days later go infor surgery to find out what’s wrong. Colon was opened, but had sealed against pelvic bone. Remove 12”of colon and give me an ostomy bag. Lot of ?’s never answered. Dr said must have been building up for years, ok, so why didn’t the colonoscopy show it in March ? No answer. Finally found out that Dr was a partner in the clinic that did the colonoscopy. They damaged my colon, but will never be able to prove it. J
