Subject: RE: Fifteen dollars per acre

Eastern Shore of MD
We had a salesman stop by one afternoon. He was pushing this 'blend.' He told us he was trying to get a local distributor to carry it in bulk and he was telling us how his advice to get it in the store was that 'it had to be $8/ac or less.'

I didn't think too much at the time (we didn't buy any), but it struck me that selling something for $8/ac or thereabouts is probably about what the average farmer thats going over a soybean or corn field with a post spray would just 'throw in the tank' and hope it does something for them. In the past we'd tried some of these products and my Uncle has taught me to be diligent in always leaving checks. I don't think we've ever seen a real positive result.
