Very interesting clock. Value should be in the "it was mom's" not monetary.
Hope the mercury is "well contained" as today its considered a real bad thing to be released in the wild.
In 1966 or so, our chemistry teacher showed us mercury, we handled it in our hands, coated coins with it too.
It had been spilled on the floor and just swept up. Today you would have to call a hazmat team. (seriously)
