| Interesting. Not surprised. Deere's turning off their old SF1 frequency on Feb 1, 2021 last I heard. I just ran the updates on my Starfire 3000 units and they switch the default SF1 frequency (from John Deere's satellite) to a new frequency, one that the old ITC receivers cannot listen on, hence the loss of SF1 for those units. I don't know whether this SF1 signal frequency change is part of the same move that a lot of satellite owners are making to free up the band for ground-based high speed wireless communications, which is also part of the reason GPS is also slowly moving to the new bands.
I think people are upset because since GPS is *not* changing just yet, why is John Deere doing that now? They told us it was because of the GPS satellites, but that's clearly not yet the case. At this stage, it's moot. It is what it is.
