| I have a Pixel 3a phone now. The only problem with this phone is that the battery does not last all day when you use it heavily. That is not the reason that I bought it. I bought the phone because it has a NFC chip. The battery is not that important for me. The pixel phones are good because they get the latest updates every month. This phone started with version 9 of android. I am up to version 11 now. I think I can get version 12 and maybe 13 out of the deal. Google guarantees at least 3 years of updates.
I have used the Motorola G phones before this phone. I think the new G phones have big batteries and are normally rated pretty good.
My next phone will be the Pixel 5a 5G phone. The Pixel 4a 5G (out now) has a bigger battery that the 3a.
To save the phone I always go to Amazon and look for a case in the $10 range and the views state that it is rated for drops. This takes a while to find a good case but it is worth the wait.
