Ok all my rural friends on here, I got rid of cable. Got sick of the price going up and up. I've got an antenna in the attic that I have no idea how old it is. It was here when we bought the house. Was built in 1972 and cable was in the house when we bought it. So I have no idea how long it has been up there or anything about it. But I hooked it up to the tv and I get 2 1/2 stations with it. I'm not far from Baltimore and Harrisburg and I gotta think I should able to get more stations if I had a newer antenna. So, tell me where to start on my search. Also tell me how a motorized antenna works. I mean I remember we had one as a kid, but, we put on the channel we wanted and had to turn the antenna until the station came in clear or clear enough. But with digital now it is either on or not right? So, how do you have these new TV's scan for stations with the antenna in one location?

Anyway, give me some places to start on my research. Thanks in advance!
