Subject: RE: How the Mediterranean diet came about

Western Oregon
I am on a very strict modified Mediterranean diet for a heart condition but more so for an inflammation problem. 2 years now since a huge flare up, bad cholesterol numbers and a heart attack scare that turned out to be inflammation in my shoulder. Everything looks very good and no more inflammation problems since. Lean wild or grass fed meats, eggs, butter and small amounts of fresh cheese. Extra virgin cold pressed olive oil, mostly green vegetables and only 1 serving of fruit a day. Very little tomato is allowed because it causes inflammation. No bread, no wheat, no rice. I am allowed wild rice grains.

Interesting, I will listen to the whole thing, enough times to try and understand it....James
