NW Central Ohio | ...How about cornbread and milk?.....I made up a scalloped corn casserole yesterday from scratch..and because it was in a small amount, I didn't have a recipe, just winged it. I didn't get quite enough butter into the recipe...and it turned into a rather light cornbread with some corn flavor from half a can of cream corn and some frozen corn I added to the batter. So I took the leftovers this morning, and poured some Half and Half into a measuring cup....Crumbled a good bit of the "Cornbread" into it....and warmed it in the microwave for a bit. Man...that was good eating. I added just a touch of honey to it...but it was really unnecessary! | |
