Congratulations on your success.

Some people seem to be able to eat carbs as they please, choosing more or less with no problem.

With me it is more of an addiction thing. I just have to say no to the sugar and high carb stuff. After about a year the cravings went away and I no longer have them. But I know if I started in eating "some" again the exception would become a more common exception then eventually lead to eating them all the time. Then I would be right back where I started. Been there done that in years past.

Around Christmas time when my wife used to bake enough cookies and sweets to kill a whole herd of horses was terribly hard on me. Of course there were always broken cookies or dipped chocolates that did not quite look right that had to be done away with........... :-) Being diabetic it was not a good time of year for me. Now I am no longer tempted by the stuff and I want to stay that way. And she has kind of quit the baking frenzy (mostly) which also helps with the smell.

It seems to be a lot easier for some people than others.

John
