Central Illinois | About 6 years ago we bought a Kenmore gas range. The salesman, who had worked for Sears for 20 years, said starting 5 years I will not sell any appliances without the extended warranty. He said the quality is not what they were just 5 years ago let alone 20 years ago. We got the range with the extended warranty, and I converted it from natural to LPG. The stove top burners worked great, but the oven would not light. The service tech came out and found the circuit board was out. This was new in box, never used. Over the next 3 years there were 4 or 5 warranty calls and repairs. The extended warranty paid for itself on that appliance. Good luck. | |
