What is your skin complexion?
Years ago my Doctor told me the amount of Melanin in your skin effects vitamin D production. Darker complexions, as well as older age, produce less vitamin D.
He said our new immigrants from Africa with dark skin were often deficient vitamin D especially in our Canadian winters.
He was from South Africa himself.
