Some where in an interior wall run a piece of hard plastic plumbing pipe from the basement into the attic.
If you ever need to run an extra line to the attic it will be alot easier.
Also put several switched light fixtures and outlets in the attic, if you need extra light or power, just flip the switch when needed.
