| Glad my info was of use. Libreoffice is able to save files in Microsoft formats. It will say something about not all formats or content will be saved. I have not encountered any problems saving as Microsoft formats. Sometimes the format you have chosen is not available in the other format. For example, Liberation Sans is default in LibreOffice and may not be available in Microsoft so a substitute font is used. Some formulas in LibreOffice are different and noted in LibreOffice help. As long as the advanced features, (macros for one). of either program are not used there will be no problems.
Lack of a workable version for android is my only gripe about LibreOffice
