South Central Iowa | If you had corn silage in a bag, and round bales of alfalfa grass hay, but are shorter than you'd like on hay, and you're young and poor. Would you A) buy cornstalk bales and grind them with the hay then mix with silage. B) Buy cornstalks and flip on end and pour mix 30 in them. C) Just buy more decent hay D) Fill in the blank. Most of the cows are still running out on fall grass/corn stalks and will continue to do so until snow forces me out, but not liking the size of the hay pile I've got. | |
