Subject: RE: Appliance Life Expectancy

West Central IL

I have more dishwasher trouble than anything.  Had a Kenmore, it died in less than 10 years.  Bought a GE.  The racks rusted out in it in less than 3 years.  On my 2nd set now and the coating is just starting to come off of one of them.  Have a Kenmore washer/dryer set that's 15 years old.  Haven't had any trouble out of the pair, put 1 heating element in the dryer and replaced a rubber coupler on the washer when it stopped agitating.  I have a sharp carousel microwave, couldn't tell you how old that thing is, I'd guess it's from the late 90's early '00's.  Bought a French door fridge with the bottom freezer used.  It was a couple years old and someone I knew was moving and it wouldn't fit in their new house.  I think it's an '06 model.   It had problem with ice in the floor of the freezer, but I fixed that.  Stove is an old gas Kenmore, it works, but it's old.  I'd say it came out of the 90's.
