Subject: Liquid vs tub supplement

Madison, GA
Trying to figure out what is a better supplement for beef cows with calf’s. Can get a 200 pond tub protein is 24% for $50. salesman said consumption will be 1.5 lb / cow or.38 cents per day. Vs a liquid 32% protein 3% fat with added probiotics that can be bought from another salesman for $335/ ton. That salesman is expecting a 3 lb consumption / cow per day or .51 cent / head. We are feeding pretty good hay too and the pastures are growing a little. Salesman 1 said liquid is more like a candy bar for them while tub more like steak. Cows are over consuming on the “ candy bar” and will be more in line with the tubs. Who is right?
