I think they missed what you asked for. I pull to the inside post and tie to the outside post. Gonna loose a little tension when you release, so pull about 2” extra. Of course this doesn’t work well on short stretches.
Oilfield pipe is for cattle guards, or you can sell it. Fence posts are galvanized.
