E.Central MN | I think it's important to talk to a knowledgable insurance agent, my agent said that if you are new to Medicare you can change plans during the first year, but after that you can only change during the enrollment period each year. I thought when they recommended signing up 3 months before your 65th birthday that anytime during that 3 months was fine. They actually want you to sign up early enough to give the govt 3 months to process your Medicare application. My birthday is at the end of the month, so when I thought I still had 3 months to go, I really only had 2 because things start on the first day of the month that your birthday is in if that makes sense. I signed up online, not sure if they do office visits now due to Covid rules? | |
