Iowa | I've lived in Sioux county most my life. A vacation destination is not something I've ever heard this place describe as. Livestock facilities everywhere and a lot of stink, also a lot of money. If you weren't born into a solid operation, there are far better places to try and make it as a farmer.
The people here are generally great people but if you don't have a pile of money behind you you'll never make it as a start up farmer. Heck pasture ground sells for over$7,000 an acre. | |
