Yep , when we had point to point on our silo the etherenet had to be grounded every 200ft or something. Was a etherenet passthrough box that had copper wire coming out that you put to ground source. I question how much it would really help, Im sure the tiny copper in the ethernet would just melt upon lighting strike and wreck any network equipment hooked up. But I hope it would stop fires or whole home damage.
