Yorkshire UK | I've been impressed by my latest, a Dell refurbished business type laptop - obviously you have less choice but they are typically more than powerful enough with problem areas such as keyboard (on cheaper machines) designed for heavy use. The model I got only has a modest sized SSD so if you are likely to want to store more stuff on it a small external portable drive would be a good add on - a lot of them are going this way.
The biggest improvement seems to be it has a very capable graphics card which makes heavy work like rendering even 4K a doddle. So much so it can beat a similar (otherwise) spec desktop bought three years ago specifically to do that kind of job. |
