Kansas | Just went through this a couple weeks ago with a man eater 1100 pound steer. Went to load the group back in july to take to the sale, and he plowed right through every fence in sight. He would rather eat ya up, versus look at ya. Talked to dad about every option that has been listed here already. Pasture he was in is super brushy. No chance in roping her. Couldn't get close enough to dart him. So, ended up getting the OK Corral set up. Took feeding grain in that catch pen for 4 weeks straight before he would get brave enough to go in during the daylight to eat it. Dad ended up setting up a portable deer blind and waiting for him, not far from the portable corral. Finally, got him to go in and slammed the gate. May be you can rent a portable corral from somebody? Good luck whichever way you decide to proceed. | |
