It's probably nothing more than the fact he is your first child, and has experienced little positive peer/sibling pressure yet in his life.

With that being said. Keep aware of other behaviors such as being overly obsessed with certain objects, lack of eye contact, unusual sensory sensitivities, excessive hand flapping, rocking his body, spinning in circles, resistance to physical contact, repeated phrases when he does talk, or little safety or danger awareness.

Early intervention is a good thing in certain situations. And with that being said, too much early intervention can also be not so good.
