Eastern NE KS | Weaned 83 home raised calves this fall. My normal immunization program was blown by MY heart issue. 10 calves needed BRD help in this group that's about 3x normal.
Had 2 calves feel sorry for themselves and would not compete in the group. They revived nicely in a separate pen, 3 day stay and back to group. You can't find them now.
I agree isolation is a pain but it sure helped these 2. They shared a pen w/old cow and her calf. Isolation was not complete. Worked great. | |
